Adidas Originals X Winnie Lui

Accessories designer Winnie Lui designed visual merchandising display for Adidas Originals Flagship @ CWB, also as exhibition

Off size accessories hanged over the ceiling and store front VM.
Lau used monotone color (blue, white, gold) components like chain, charms, hats,cartoon character for the off size display. It created a strong visual impact. The displays were adorable just like 《Alice in the wonderland》.

PRADA's Coffee Table Book

 
This coffee book is all about PRADA
 
 
It includes the past, inside, stage, product campaign, place, scene, outside... etc. of PRADA.
 

 
Followed photo is a timeline of PRADA collections over the years, it unveils the history of PRADA.
 
 
Followed photo shows the key pieces from the collection, from 1988-2009.
 

 
The book includes PRADA's campaigns fromm 1987 till now.
 

 
Followed photo is the PRADA exhibition of Transformer.

I think this coffee book is really innovative and amazing with many vivid and attractive images of all that is PRADA. It is because this coffee book documents PRADA's extensive creative works within the past 96 years, and it includes the fashion, arhitecture, movie, art, functions, exhibitions and all other stuff of PRADA. It is a new format of promotion, which makes the readers have a deeper understanding of the brand.

Nike AW77 exhibition

Nike AW77 : This is my hood exhibition


The exhibition is showing the new collection of nike: AW77, also want to celebrate 1 Year annaversiary of Nike Sport.

Nike collaborate with different media, such as celebrities: Wyman Wong; Creative company: Silly thing. The exhibition is showing some playful installation which all cover by the Special fabric, the same as AW77 collection.

The installation is not so special, which only cover with the cotton fabric (I think), The craftmanship is worst too, which make me feel that the exhibition is not attractive.
However, the game machines is good for the audience to stay longer in exhibition. Interaction with the customer can create special atmosphere.


People can get a hand made printed product if purchase AW77 collection in the exhibition. People can design the color and the print they want.









After party held after the opening of exhibition. Some games machine placed in the area, guest are welcome to play. Mst of the guest are the press and celebrities, they can enjoy the cocktail and play in the area.
I think Nike try to make the brand more "Hip and young".

Hermes Silk Bar-- Festival walk

Nice drinks are made and served.



I discovered the orange lorry when I was waiting outside CityU. I think this is a very interesting POP UP store and took few pic of it. However, I don;t have time to take the pics from different angle as I was in hurry at that time. So , I downloaded some from the online editorial.

It is the first " silk bar' pop up store that Hermes ever has. The silk bar is in orange lorry shape and decorated like a reading room. There was a bar tender serving the customers with five different kinds of healthy. When some customers are waiting theris fds by enjoying the nice drinks. The salesgirls were busy at showing different scarves in different style. They seemed busy but nit noisy. It is really like a small bar for relaxing but can do shopping at the same time.

This kind of pop up is innovative. It is created with art sense but mix into people's life. Unlike traditional pop up stores which just sell the items they want to sell. The silk bar of Hermes can do more by providing a nice environment and drinks for the customers. This would add value to the products. Moreover, the usage ways of the scarves are taught and showed unexpectedly. I believe that customers will be joyful to gain it.

chocoolate pop up store---APM












This is the POP-UP STORE of Chocoolate corss over with Bathing Ape

The pictures were taken on 5th Nov. So, could not really shop in it as it was planned to be opened on 6th Nov. I think this kind of pop up store could really draw the attention of passer -by. The can shape cashier,can shape display of T- shirts.. and big logo of Bathing Ape are very interesting and attractive.

However, this is actually the cross over between Chocoolate and Bathing Ape. The selling point seemed still focus more on Bathing Ape which is specialized in producing T- Shirt, and the big lighted logo on the top of the can may make people think that the store is selling Bathing Ape instead of Chocoolate. But it is good to learn that it's cross over between the two brands.

From my point of view, Chocoolate would gain something from this marketing strategy. After the cross over with Bathing Ape, people may have better understanding of the brand of Chocoolate and may think it does good in T-shirts. However, to Bathing Ape, they don;t need to make use of the brand name of Chocoolate to draw more awareness, but still can have more explore by having this kond of co-operation.

H&M Promotion strategy

H&M spend many effort on promotion, no matter the outdoor advertising, Direct market - H&M Magazine, They also invite the press even the famous blogger in HK.

http://www.popbee.com/ is a local fashion blog, the web master POPBEE
updated the fashion blog everyday, and showing the lastest fashion news around the world. However, she is not the reporter. The fashio news are typing by her preference.

H&M is very clever to invite her to join the Collection preview, as she will show out the special picks of the lastest collection, also some photos. Word of mouth is a powerful tool in promotion strategies.



Some comment that she leave in the blog, all of them are positive comment of the latest collection.

Hats off to Elements



Famous hat designer Philip Treacy exhibited his hat collections in Elements, a shopping mall in Hong Kong, in order to celebrate the mall's 2nd anniversary. The collection includes the product lines of Andy Warhol and Alexander McQueen.
 

 

 
Followed photo shows that there was an interactive game which enable customers to try the hats on their own heads in virtual.

I think such exhibition is very special as those hats have never been shown in Hong Kong. Specifically, Philip Treacy designed a hat for Elements 2nd anniversary, which is the only one in the world.
 
Also, there was some machines to let customers to play the interactive game. This can increase the customers involvment and create a memorable shopping experience.
